Dr Davor Svetinovic
Dr Davor Svetinovic is a professor of Computer Science at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in the UAE. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Previously, he worked as a visiting professor at MIT, and as a postdoctoral researcher at Lero, the Irish Software Engineering Center, and Vienna University of Technology. He is a member of the Center for Secure Cyber-Physical Systems and has extensive experience leading complex multidisciplinary research projects.

Dr Svetinovic is a UAE-based computer scientist with an international reputation in blockchain technology, cybersecurity, and federated learning. With over 20 years of experience, he bridges academic research and practical applications, focusing on intelligent and secure decentralized systems. He has published over 100 papers in leading journals and conferences. His research interests include cybersecurity, blockchain, software engineering, and secure AI. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, and brings extensive funding and leadership experience. Since August 2025, he has been a Visiting Fellow at ADIA Lab.
