Global Leaders in AI to Gather in Abu Dhabi for Third ADIA Lab Symposium
Some of the world’s leading minds in AI and data science confirmed to speak at the three-day forum exploring transformative applications of AI in climate science, health science, and the digital economy
Abu Dhabi, 29 September 2025: ADIA Lab, the independent Abu Dhabi-based institute dedicated to basic and applied research in data and computational sciences, will host the third edition of its annual symposium from October 27-29, 2025, in Abu Dhabi.
Building on the success of its previous editions, the 2025 ADIA Lab Symposium will bring together some of the world’s most influential scientists, thought leaders, and researchers - including four Nobel Laureates - for a three-day program that explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to solve societal problem in robust, explainable and trustworthy manner.
The symposium focuses on three key themes: AI for Climate Science, AI for Health Science, and AI for the Digital Economy. Across the three days, attendees will hear from leading experts, including Nobel Laureates Robert Engle, Co-Director of the Volatility and Risk Institute, NYU Stern; Steven Chu, Professor of Physics, Molecular and Cellular Physiology, and Energy Science and Engineering, Stanford University; Guido Imbens, Professor of Economics, Stanford University; and Konstantin Novoselov, Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor, National University of Singapore. The speaker lineup will also include leading experts and academics from top universities, government institutions, and international organizations. A complete list of speakers and the full agenda will be available on the ADIA Lab website.
Dr. Horst Simon, Director of ADIA Lab, said: “The ADIA Lab Symposium has grown into a global platform for knowledge exchange, bringing together some of the leading minds in science and technology to push the boundaries of AI and data science. This year’s program will focus on some of the most urgent challenges of our time, from Climate Change and Health Science to the Digital Economy. By hosting this symposium, we are advancing cutting-edge research in AI and related technologies, further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for innovation”.
The 2025 Symposium will open with a focus on AI for Climate Science, featuring keynotes, presentations and workshops on climate change, sustainability, and risk. Day Two will spotlight AI for Health Science, with sessions on next-generation medical technologies and on trustworthy AI in medicine. The final day will explore AI for the Digital Economy, highlighting its impact on global markets, innovation, and economic transformation. The event will also see the announcement of ADIA Lab’s annual research grant awardees and winners of its international data science competition.
The ADIA Lab Symposium, taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, is designed to generate thought-provoking discussions and interactive workshop sessions, as well as providing opportunities for networking interactions for speakers and delegates. Professionals and researchers from academia, industry, and government with experience or interest in AI, machine learning, and their applications are invited to attend. The three-day forum is free for both in-person and virtual delegates, but registration is essential. The registration form and more details are available at https://www.adialab.ae/symposium-2025
